Politics.who gets what, when, and how. I do not have an extensive knowledge about politics, but I decided that it would be worthwhile to learn about it, as it pretty much makes the world go 'round. So, I decided to make at least one of my pages about politics. And here it is. In the US, there are three branches of the government that for the most part are typical at all levels of government(national, state, and local level). These are the Executive Branch. And the Judicial Branch.

Here i go then. I love chocolate and late night movies on television. sometimes i stay up til 2 in the morning surfing the channels to find old favorites that might be playing. And while i'm here, i might as well make the most of it and try to have. My time in Airai was different. it was still fun, but i didn't have kids my age on that side of the family. they were either young, or older, or we weren't close. there were still family get togethers, but i always found myself without peers. Sometimes though...
Legislative Branch

The legislative branch is the only national branch whose members are regionally appointed. by this, i mean that members of Congress, although they have to make laws regarding the whole nation, it's individual members are chosen by they respective states and districts. this makes them a very weird bunch, because they are held accountable to the country as a whole, and to their respective constituents. Personally i think they are the most worst off of politicians.
Judiciary Branch

The judicial branch is the one with the power to evaluate laws and say whether they are constitutional(they are ok) or they are unconstitutional(they are bad). Unfortunately, it is also the weakest of the branches, because all it has is its legitimacy. it does not have military backing like the executive, or the people's support(by this i mean they aren't elected and accountable to the people as much as the legislators). I'll try to keep building this page with more info on the Supreme Court.

This is the branch with the presidency, the chief executive, yes folks, the big kahuna! The current president is george bush. republican from texas, serving his last term. before this he had been texas' governor. Right by his side is vice president dick cheney. There's more to the executive branch, but like i said, this is a work in progress.
