A Day In The Life: March 2008
http://mksmesmil.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
A Day In The Life. Sunday, March 23, 2008. The picture above is of my brother Dan and me. It was taken on May Street in Chicago, now the home of University of Illinois - Circle Campus. My Grandparents lived there before their home was torn down to make room for the campus. Oh! How I remember the cape I was wearing in that picture. I felt so very special in it. My father had been to a funeral in Mississippi. He brought that cape back, just for me! Links to this post. Thursday, March 20, 2008. The bottom p...

I should add that for the past year or so, the extra bedroom has been The Tupperware Room. Yeah anyone who knows ...

Little Plastic Castles: July 2008
http://littleplasticcastles.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Little plastic castles - like a fish swimming around and around in a bowl, seeing the same plastic castles and thinking they are something new. (Borrowed from Ani DiFranco). View my complete profile. During medical school I will have the opportunity to meet and work with many different people. Details about those people will be altered to make them no one you might know. Also, I am a student - anything medically related I write about is certainly not to be taken as advice - talk to you doctor. You meant ...

Monday, May 12, 2008. We're in bangalore now! It's the total opposite of the rural hospital we were first in, it's v clean and modern, but somehow all of us prefer the rural hospital better - medicine there is somehow more pure? Our new hospital is also a mission hospital, but it feels bigger and less personal, people are less friendly and welcoming. the food is alot better though! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wednesday, June 25, 2008. A death in the medical family. Today, there was sad news. A fellow doctor from my tiny little island has died, from massive haemetemesis, postulated to be due to intractable ITP. much else is unknown. I didn't know him well, but i do remember the few kind words he had for a despondent medical student struggling through her OB/GYN posting, convinced she was never going to make it. But i will remember those kind words, and how they pulled me through a horrible day. Then again, you...
