July 15, 2015. Off at a Snail’s Pace. Monday, a day off for both of us! We began the day at a snail’s pace taking it somewhat easy before take a leisurely 3 hour drive to Cache Creek to visit Horsting’s Farm Market. Snails are in abundance around our home in Chilliwack. Having had a bit of rain, the weather cleared as we headed north and upon arriving at our destination it was a pleasant 25 degrees. Turn a corner and there they are huddled together in the middle of the road, not even fazed that they nearly became minced lamb. Honk the horn a few times and inch the car forward a little bit and they finally might move off of what they consider to be their road. Three Countries in Three Hours. May 1, 2015. April 30, 2015. This morning I woke up to dawn breaking in front of our windows over looking the Rhine. Dawn is way to early at this time of year! It was the lanes and lights for cars, the lanes and lights for pedestrians and lanes and lights specific for bicycles. I think we nearly got run over a few times.
