On November 23rd, Alex turned two, and we had a whole bunch of family over for a birthday party. It was great; he was in a good mood and was having a blast, he got a ton of cars which made him in an even better mood and he had more fun, and I got a bunch of great pictures! Alex, pre-birthday. Car in hand, as always. More cute. slight grimace. but we're working on it! Epic cute to be sure!

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Bye, little girl. Today, one of our family's dogs had to be put to sleep. Keesha had recently dislocated one of her back legs, and unfortunately, it wasn't able to be set properly again. Due to the seriousness of the injury, she had to be put down. She's been in the family since she was a pup, about 13 or so years, I think. She was always friendly and had to make sure she greeted you at the door, even with a dislocated leg. In drastic ways, but I prefer not to blog about that, so lets find something else instead. I also have a new favorite movie. INCEPTION! My goodness that's a great movie. I saw it twice in the theatre when it came out, and bought it once it was released to video. I think I have watched it about 6 times since then, including once today. I love that movie. I hope the new year is an adventure!

Bev's tale of Woah! Monday, October 26, 2009. So I have been thinking for quite a while that our little Samus (Dog) needs a compainion dog. And I think Rob would prefer a puppy. I found a cute little puppy on the local SPCA website today and got all excited and called Rob, and then he got all excited! Alex loves Samus, and Samus loves Alex, and we love Samus too, but I think she gets lonely sometimes, and I think having a companion dog might be just what she needs to be happier. Let's try this again.

I really need to stop being disappointed with what some people consider to be "news". Arguably, my own view isn't always particularly discerning, as many of you could readily attest. We had a few fatal car crashes, a quad bike death (tragic loss of a fun loving son, you know the drill). Just your usual sort of thing.
