Reflections of a Princess: May 2008
http://reflectionsofaprincess.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15. Thursday, May 29, 2008. People keep leaving little hints here and there regarding the lack of new posts on my blog. What can I say? I'm pregnant. I'm now past the debilitating exhaustion and have been taking the last few weeks slow. Doing a little bit here, a little bit there. I've been seriously considering updating the blog. Really I have. What has been happening lately? Since the baby was measuring bigger in the last ultrasound than our original calculations. I still haven't exp...

Reflections of a Princess: November 2008
http://reflectionsofaprincess.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15. Sunday, November 09, 2008. Wellthe due date is tomorrow. We'll see if little Joey decides to make his grand entrance there or wait a few days. We're hoping he comes this week. I've had very few feelings of contractions or any kind of tightening this past week ( minus last Monday. At our appointment on Thursday, my midwife said I was 1/2 cm dilated, which is not much but better than nothing. (Some women can be dilated 2 - 3 cm for weeks before their baby comes! Reflections of a Princess: Obediently Humbled
http://reflectionsofaprincess.blogspot.com/2009/03/obediently-humbled.html
Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15. Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. And in human form he obediently humbled. Himself even further by dying a criminal's death on a cross. What does that say? It suggests that humility wasn't easy for Jesus, and we know it's not easy for us. Then what it too lowly for me? This i...

Reflections of a Princess: A Good Reminder for Us All
http://reflectionsofaprincess.blogspot.com/2009/03/good-reminder-for-us-all.html
Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15. Saturday, March 14, 2009. A Good Reminder for Us All. A Marriage Advice Moment with John Piper. A staff member at Bethlehem asked Pastor John what one or two main things he wants to say to an engaged couple in premarital counseling. His answer is relevant for marriages new and old:. Be joyfully, brokenheartedly, shaped by the death of Christ for you. Get really clear the meaning of headship and submission. Husband, tremble at the implications of Ephesians 5:25-30. Sew, Mama, Sew!

Reflections of a Princess: The Cost of Following Christ – Part 2
http://reflectionsofaprincess.blogspot.com/2006/10/cost-of-following-christ-part-2.html
Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15. Tuesday, October 03, 2006. The Cost of Following Christ – Part 2. The functioning base of entitlements is that we put limits on what God can ask of us. I think we’d all agree that it is fundamentally wrong for us to tell the Lord what He can or can’t ask of us. What if Abraham had told God it would have been too much to leave his home? What if Esther said, “It’s too risky. I could die”? What if Ruth had stayed in Moab? What if Moses had said, “I can’t go back there? In the next few...

Reflections of a Princess: December 2008

Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15. Monday, December 15, 2008. Mother and Son: Answering a Request. My mom requested to see me in some photos with the baby (other than the Christmas pj one). So here they are. On our way to the MOPS Christmas Party. I love this face! This is the "Mom, what are you doing" look. I've started to call him "The Burrower," because this is what he does. And a series of pictures that won't rotate correctly. Blogger is weird. Links to this post. Tuesday, December 09, 2008. All I Really Want.

Reflections of a Princess: Grieved to the Point of Death
http://reflectionsofaprincess.blogspot.com/2009/03/grieved-to-point-of-death.html
Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15. Friday, March 13, 2009. Grieved to the Point of Death. And He said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved to the. Point of death; remain here and keep watch.". How quickly do we read this verse? It has just become part of the story for us. A means to an end. Do we ever sit and ponder the humanity of Jesus at this point? Do we think of him more as God than man? Able to handle the sorrow and pain to come, I mean, he is God after all. From Contemplating the Cross by Tricia Rhodes. Practi...

Reflections of a Princess: September 2008
http://reflectionsofaprincess.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Isn't this the cutest idea? I came across this on the Organized Christmas. Blog Isn't it the cutest idea? A little more work than simply buying an advent calendar, but so adorable. At first I thought that the magnet ornaments were decorated sugar cookies, but it looks like this lady just bought mini ornaments. If I ever decide to do this project, I might make the ornaments to reflect more of the Christmas story, but it's cute just the same.
