I LOVE the fun and quirky looks that children can get away with, and I love that my kids, even at the ages of 6, 11, and 12 still enjoy the personality filled pieces that I create. The Things I Make. March 25, 2016. March 25, 2016. This year’s Easter clothing started with a dress for Sis, cut from a vintage 1950’s pattern. It was a women’s dress, so it is a bit big, but I added elastic in the waist and decorated it with a bow and it’s just the right mix of classy and not quite grown up yet. 🙂 Plus, the teal crinoline helps. 🙂. Mini Mod Peacock Dress. June 1, 2015. June 1, 2015. Sewn for… a distraction from a super anxious and stressful week. Pattern: This is the Mini Mod Dress by Sewing in No Mans Land. It looks like she has taken her patterns down temporarily, I think to scale them up or something, but they’ll be back. I’ve sewn this pattern I think three times now.
