3rd Birthday | Under Construction | Running MOMentum

https://runningmomentum.wordpress.com/2015/08/05/3rd-birthday-under-construction

Views of a mommy and marathon runner. 3rd Birthday Under Construction. With my oldest, I’ve always said every new age and stage is a favorite, but so far I’m really loving three. My son can dress himself, put his shoes on, get his own snack, buckle himself into the carseat (we always double-check), and is completely potty-trained. It certainly makes life with 2 little boys that much easier! So there was a big reason to celebrate turning 3.🙂. He was very excited to wake up as a 3-year-old! It was fun to ...

Sage | 10 Months | Running MOMentum

https://runningmomentum.wordpress.com/2015/07/28/sage-10-months

Views of a mommy and marathon runner. My sweet guy turned 10 months this week! Sage gets into everything now – he beelines for the stairs or the edge of the bed… eats everything in sight, edible or not. Today I noticed him chewing on a woodchip that he bit off a wooden train at the dentist’s office. Yesterday he was sucking on a plastic size label he pulled from a hanger in a dressing room. No wonder he’s tipping the scales at over 23 pounds! Like just now. Any suggestions for curbing that habit? Email (...

No-Sleep Week | Worth It. | Running MOMentum

https://runningmomentum.wordpress.com/2015/07/13/no-sleep-week-worth-it

Views of a mommy and marathon runner. No-Sleep Week Worth It. July is one of my favorite months, for good reason. This year, between the 4th of July. My son’s 3rd birthday, my birthday, a trip to the lake, a drive-in movie, a family trip to Busch Gardens, teaching preschoolers, and a kayaking excursion (sans kids) with a group from our church, we are EXHAUSTED in a good way! Got extra snuggle time with the baby, went to Target, drank coffee and flipped through a magazine (unheard of! We are just not movi...

4th of July | 2015 | Running MOMentum

https://runningmomentum.wordpress.com/2015/07/05/4th-of-july-2015

Views of a mommy and marathon runner. 4th of July 2015. The 4th of July has ALWAYS been my favorite holiday. This year we visited a hot air balloon festival, made red, white, and blue bark, and took my parents to our favorite brewery, followed by spectacular fireworks at a ski resort! That night, after the boys fells asleep, I held my toddler’s hand and prayed for him (and my patience this year as a mommy of 2) as the clock struck midnight and he turned into a 3-year-old! Laquo; Five on Friday.

Views of a mommy and marathon runner. When God Calls You to Move…. So I blog, but I never share the things I write in my paper prayer journal. But here is the series of thoughts I wrote this summer… and how I feel that God led me to step out of my comfort zone to leave the job I LOVE to move to a job much closer to home. July 6, 2015. July 14, 2015:. Last night in my women’s Bible study we talked about discerning God’s will. We are reading the book, “ Is That Really You, God? Still July 14, 2015:. The cl...

Rejoice and Repeat: August 2015

http://rejoiceandrepeat.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 26, 2015. The Power of a Shower. I'm still adjusting to being a mom of two. Schedules differ, needs are vastly different and the demand varies. With N at 8 weeks old, he still requires so much.G has her own needs and wants that inevitably should take priority just at the time I'm feeding the baby. My house is never together or completely clean and my list of to-dos is not getting smaller. I'm learning to give myself some grace. Linking up with Waiting on.Wednesday. How do you know when ...

http://lifeandtimeserin.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

With a Little Flare. Life one plate at a time. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. And we both loved it! Wednesday we decided to lay low and just went to the pool during the day. I got the worst sunburn because after 31 years I still can't apply sunscreen correctly, and have to learn the same lesson every summer. After hanging out all day we had reservations at one of our favorite restaurants, Founding Farmers. When we got home. Matt thought this movie was great. I did not. On Netflix Saturday night. Rectify. With a Little Flare: Third Trimester!

http://lifeandtimeserin.blogspot.com/2015/07/third-trimester.html

With a Little Flare. Life one plate at a time. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Oh my gosh you guys! How did this happen! It seems as though that cold February day when I found out I was pregnant was just yesterday! Seriously. How are we already entering the third trimester? How big is the baby? In fact there is one growing on my porch and I'm so excited about it. My sleep has been better this week, aside from the waking up to go to the bathroom so often. I attribute this to being on vacation. Nothing serious&#...

Saturday, August 8, 2015. Love, Hate, Tag. I was excited to see that I was tagged in Sarita's post. She blogs over at It's My Girls' World. And always shares such sweet sentiments. http://lifeandtimeserin.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

With a Little Flare. Life one plate at a time. Friday, May 29, 2015. This short week seemed like a long one. I can't believe this was our last day of school in May. This year has gone so quickly, but the last few, hot weeks leading up to summer can be tough. I am looking forward to relaxing this weekend and maybe even fitting in some pool time. I need some sunshine on my skin! The Poky Little Puppy. What Would Your Name Be? Currently, we are in the market for names. I saw { this little article. Today is ...

With a Little Flare: 29 Weeks

http://lifeandtimeserin.blogspot.com/2015/07/29-weeks.html

With a Little Flare. Life one plate at a time. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Things are still going very well.here is this week's wrap up! How big is the baby? One website says a butternut squash, and the other says acorn squash. I'm going with the butternut variety. I can definitely tell the baby is getting bigger after last week's stomach pains and constant movement. Same status. Yes and no. My stomach pains thankfully went away over the weekend! Best moment this week? Our baby shower in Massachusetts!

With a Little Flare. Life one plate at a time. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. 2014, In Review! Oh 2014, what a year it's been! We've had so many highlights. I went back through my blog to pick out a few of my favorites from this year. Enjoy this year's summary, and enjoy your last night of 2014! A big theme throughout my posts from January, February, and even March was SNOW. During one of those early January snows I remember binge watching episodes of Orange is the New Black. The summer of 2014 was my bes...

Runningmom4's Blog | Jennifer Jarvis

January 6, 2014. I’ve been obsessed with the term Optimal Push ever since I saw it first used in a sports documentary about parenting young athletes. I jokingly use the term with my husband all the time now. I’m finding that optimal push. My mind is strong, but my body is fragile. 8221; Well, my friend, I was sick. Very, very sick. I’ve lived with my actual diagnosis for a year, but I’ve suffered from the side effects of an undiagnosed autoimmune disease for as long as I can remember. Gluten free eating ...

RunningMomBlog.com | I'm a runner. I'm a mom.

I'm a runner. I'm a mom. I wanted to make a blueberry coffee cake last weekened so I went to FoodNetwork.com to find a recipe. I came across this. From Paula Deen and really only chose it because I also had a tube of biscuits I needed to use. This was pretty tasty but I’d make a few changes if I did it again. Use half the butter (this is really required in any Paula Deen recipe), half the oats, and I’d leave the sugar out that is intended to coat the blueberries. 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar. I start...

My adventures as a wife, attorney and mother of 2 trying to qualify for Boston. Sunday, July 22, 2012. Ladies and gentlemen, I survived week one of Philly training. Ok, I more than survived; I finished every run feeling damn near perfect. Yay for an entire week with no crappy runs! Thursday - did the easy run I was supposed to do Wednesday. Saturday - 10 miles Sunday - 5 miles, including 4 miles of "hills". Yep, the quotes are back. That means treadmill inclines yet again. Aren't I lucky? I think 90% of ...

Adventures in Running & Crafting

Adventures in Running and Crafting. As a stay at home mom, I don't get a whole lot of time to myself, but when I do you can usually find me out running the neighborhood or curled up on the couch working on my latest knitting/crochet project. I began running in Jan. '07 and completed my first 1/2 Marathon in Sept. '07. I started knitting and crocheting that same Summer and all three passions have taken over my life! Tuesday, November 27, 2007. Moved to a new blog. Here's my new blog! Links to this post.
