Impressions: A very hot day.......
http://ross-madgwick.blogspot.com/2010/05/very-hot-day.html
Saturday, 22 May 2010. A very hot day. I decided to go and get lost on my bicycle in Exmoor - pedalling over to Dunkerry Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, then down the Exe Valley to Tiverton and back across to my start point buried in the woods near Ash Prior. Setting off at 7:00 am it quickly turned into a very hot day and I basted for more than a few hours. Probably because they are there! Near the head of the Exe it starts out as a bright stream buried in the trees. A view on the senses. Currently...

Sunday, 10 January 2010. I took these just before it started to snow heavily before Christmas. The run started out in freezing fog and ended in glorious sunshine - as you can see. View of a very cold Exmoor. This is a panoramic looking towards Exmoor from the Quantocks on one of my runs. Warmer air was blowing in from the West and forming a huge wave coming towards me. You'll have to zoom in to see this. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A view on the senses. View my complete profile. View of a very cold Exmoor.

Wednesday, 26 May 2010. Sunday, 23 May 2010. Through very thick sunglasses. Another scorcher today - so spent it beside a natural pool up on Dartmoor and then back to a friend's house. This is what the house looks like through thick sunglasses on a very, very hot day. Saturday, 22 May 2010. A very hot day. Probably because they are there! Near the head of the Exe it starts out as a bright stream buried in the trees. Those last ten kilometres were not straightforward though as I had to find my way through...

Impressions: September 2008
http://ross-madgwick.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, 1 September 2008. What the eye perceives. Van Gogh saw more! He wrote to his brother from northern France and explained he could see fifteen different yellows in a field of ripening corn. I cheated here and included some purple of the heather. This composite took hours and is still rubbish - as I have no doubt someone will point out. If they can be bothered. Take a closer look - it really is stunning in reality. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A view on the senses. View my complete profile.

Friday, 21 May 2010. Morning walk in the Quantocks. Having taken it to the limit on the bicycle yesterday morning I decided to take a walk today to relax my legs a bit and take it all in. Anybody fancy turning either of these into a jigsaw? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A view on the senses. I take things very literally - and people tell me I have the communication problem! http://ross-madgwick.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, 16 February 2009. Up on the hills yesterday the skylarks were warming up - not quite at full throlttle yet, but definitely on their way. Much of the snow has cleared - although there are still some deep drifts. I wondered, as they shot up singing into the sky, what did they do when everything was covered in a thick blanket of snow? Anyone have any idea? Thursday, 12 February 2009. Winter weather on the Quantocks. I took this shortly before the snow arrived during a period of dense fog. Beauti...
