Fabric n’ Roses. Leap of Faith Project. Play – Collage on Fabric. July 27, 2015. The India ink drawing at the left is one of the very first things I ever purposefully did as an artist way back in the 1980s. Eventually I began to add loose watercolor washes over the drawing. It was that simple beginning that makes this multi-medium process and progress so exciting to me today. Week 16 Look Ma! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. January 7, 2013. I adjusted my zipper pouch design to be a little wider, here’s another one I made that is just over 5″ wide. Another ITH zipper pouch. December 23, 2012. I wanted to make another zipper pouch, but a bit bigger this time. This one I digitized myself, as I had to make it small enough to still work with my stash of 7″ zippers. Here it is next to the smaller one for scale. Little zipper pouch in the hoop. Lever knitting Tomten | asploded

July 15, 2012. Last week I attended the Yarn Harlot. 8216;s Knitting for Speed and Efficiency workshop. Put on by KnitSocial. Which was a lot of fun. I left taking Stephanie’s advice to heart, that learning any new technique requires about 30 days of practice to allow muscle memory to form. She advised everyone to start a simple project like a scarf and work on it a little bit every day using the lever knitting technique. My stitches are all bunched up tightly, as that is another technique to help with k...

Test stitch-outs | asploded
https://asploded.wordpress.com/2013/01/02/test-stitch-outs
January 2, 2013. Here are a couple of test stitch-outs I did yesterday. The first one was supposed to be a letter T from a cross stitch Christmas alphabet freebie. It was a dismal fail with 3 thread breakages in that little bit that I stitched before cutting my losses. Plus, the cross stitch look wasn’t to my taste either. In the recycling bin that alphabet goes! The second one is a gorgeous letter G, from the Small Crowns alphabet by Sonia Showalter. Another ITH zipper pouch. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
