Jackie Summers: January 2012
http://jackiesummers2u.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
January 25, 2012. Winter 1974 or The Night The Moon Fell. The events in this story are true. On a cold winter night back in 1974 a group of kids set out on a daring mission. To investigate the odd neighbors that have taken up residency in their neighborhood. I am the only one I know of that has written the tale. It was just your typical weekend winter evening; at least that's what our parents thought! That fall new neighbors had moved in across the street from them. They told us they often heard loud cha...

Jackie Summers: March 2012

March 30, 2012. What's for dinner.certainly not me. Not that I'm not a tasty little dish.Well, leftovers. Always better the second time around- You knew that of course! I really didn't want to write about dinner, not in the sense of food. I really wanted to write about life. What eats you? We all have them- those blood thirsty pangs of brain eating thoughts. The Why's, and How's, of yesterdays food for fodder. Unlike chewing 28 times before swallowing, you gnash on them for days. Why do we do it? I think...

June 18, 2012. The Monster In Your House". Since the beginning of time, before Adam and Eve, before Pagan Gods, monsters have existed in our houses. They live hideously behind closed curtains, preying on the subconscious mind of it’s inhabitants. Like generations before, a testament of it’s DNA clinging to the very existence of mankind. Woe to the narcissist that does not see it. Pity to the martyr that does. Peace to those that have forced to eradicate it. Luckily for me.You keep yours under lock an...

Back from the Delta Paranormal Fest – Late Nite Books
http://www.latenitebooks.com/2013/10/07/back-from-the-delta-paranormal-fest
Book Store & More. Back from the Delta Paranormal Fest. When the conference concluded, we broke for supper, and then we all met at the Greenville Armory building for the paranormal investigations. Now, I went to this event with a completely open mind. I didn’t judge anyone or put anyone’s beliefs down. That’s really the only way you can approach something like this, to watch and observe and make your own conclusions. Paranormal investigators attempt to add science into the process of investigation. We we...

I Got an iPad and Quit My Job, etc. – Late Nite Books
http://www.latenitebooks.com/2013/07/30/i-got-an-ipad-and-quit-my-job-etc
Book Store & More. I Got an iPad and Quit My Job, etc. All right. Some updates now that I’ve settled in. I have gotten an iPad and a wireless keyboard, linked everything up through Google Docs, and now I’m “technologically advanced,” I suppose. With everything linked up, I can work on any device I have and the updates carry over automatically to everything else. As a result of these two developments, I hope that books will come faster than they have. Can I promise it? No related posts found. July 31, 2013.

Is There a Secret to Self-Publishing Success? | Savvy Self-Publishing
http://www.savvyselfpublishing.com/tips-and-tricks/is-there-a-secret-to-self-publishing-success
Is There a Secret to Self-Publishing Success? Added Dec 6, 2011, Under: Tips and Tricks. I’m coming up on my one year anniversary for self-publishing. In that time, I’ve published four novels (I had two written coming into this, but I did manage to write two full novels this year as well), two novellas, and some shorter stories. I haven’t become a bestseller or some phenom that the traditional publishers are drooling over, but I believe I’ve done reasonably well. The Secret to Success? This may be a disa...

A place for the randomness that falls out of my brain. On the Purpose of Blogs. Purpose it's that little flame that lights a fire under your ass." - Brian in Avenue Q. But right now I'm feeling a bit.purpose-less. What does this blog do? I'm not really sure. Back in February when I first created this blog, I thought it would be to share "the random funnies that fall out of my brain.". So what will this blog become? The One Where She Says Something Shocking. Some days, I really hate being a woman. Ok, may...

Writing, Publishing, Motherhood, Random Musings. Posted in May 2011. Are Paper Books Prehistoric? If you’re followers of Joe Konrath’s popular blog, A Newbie’s Guide to Publishing, as I am, maybe you’ve seen the topic of traditional publishers and paper books versus eBooks and self-publishing debated many times. I myself have mulled the discussions over, listening to both sides intently, then coming to my own conclusions. So here it … Continue reading →. Join 81 other followers. AVAILABLE NOW ON AMAZON.
