Art pottery made by Benthall Pottery, at Benthall, near Broseley, Shropshire. Hindley and Sons, 1880 1882. The Benthall Pottery Company produced several sizes of wall plaque. Plaques were decorated with elaborately modelled raised work. Designs of fruit, flowers and shells, which can be as much as 50mm / 2in proud of the plaque. Salopian Brass is a well-established, friendly band based in Shrewsbury. We have a busy and varied programme including outdoor summer events in park bandstands and garden fetes as well as charity events, Church services, Remembrance Day parades and Carol concerts. We also stage formal concerts, sometimes with other ensembles and choirs. Our rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings between 7.30pm and 9.00pm at Bayston Hill Methodist Church, Lansdowne Road, Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury, SY3 0HZ.

Salopians We are a club set up with the stated aim of providing fly fishing for the ordinary man and we have been doing that for forty years. In our early years we leased part of the River Worfe and then four pools on the Willey Estate. Our waters now are two pools at Boldings,Bridgnorth and Brineton,Nr Wheaton Aston,Staffs.and two small Shropshire rivers the Worfe and Clun.
