Also from the fact that I've spent a lot of time near the ocean and feel an affinity for it. I love the look of batiks. When I learned that all you have to do is paint a design with wax and then dye the fabric, I thought Easy! Every project is a bit of a mystery did I drip the wax in the wrong spot? Was the wax too hot and I got big blobs where I didn’t want blobs?
