Tuesday, July 26, 2005. Day Two of Picture Taking:. Alice Chaote's Grave Marker:. Here is a picture of what is believed to be Alice Chaote's grave marker. The headstone is on the other side of the path at the old homestead remnants. Attack of the Killer Ants! OK, maybe not. Ants but this was a really big colony (obviously) based on the size of the mound. Note of interest: Did you know that ants can dig up to 15 feet into the ground for winter hybernation? That is pretty far down in the ground!

I am a quarter of a century old, recently engaged, beginning runner who is training for her first half marathon! Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
