Monday, November 7, 2011. Busy in the kitchen :). I decided to try a few recipes (and to dive into a few of my favorites) with the extra time I had this past week. I started out (after collecting just a few too many Honey Crisp apples at the Farmer's Market before it closed for the winter :) with the Cinnamon Crumble Apple Pie. Thursday, November 3, 2011. I was so excited to have our first trick-or-treaters this year! There are so many kids in the neighborhood that I almost ran out of the 5 bags of candy I thought for sure would be enough (thanks Tinkerbell and Woody for pawing a few extra into your pails! Thank goodness I had some extra M&Ms in the back :) . Overall, it was a great and fun night getting to see all of the neighbors - and the kids! Lots going on this week so I'll try to post again tomorrow. Busy in the kitchen :).

Sunday, March 24, 2013. Our evening last night consisted of this:. Orchietta with Brussel Sprouts, Sun-dried Tomato Chicken Sausage and Pesto. Movie Night: This is 40. Overall, an enjoyable and much needed relaxing night, plus success with a new recipe that we will be making again. Kosher salt (I never follow recipes with salt and pepper unless its a dressing, and just do this to taste). 1 lb (16 oz.) orecchiette. 1lb baby brussel sprouts-if large I woud half. 5 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced.

Monday, October 17, 2011. Going Away Family Weekend. This weekend we called for backup. My mom came up on Friday morning and Nick's mom and dad came up Saturday morning. Plus, we had Frankie and Brittany to help. Errands were run, last minutes purchases were made, recipes were converted to electronic versions, boxes were packed, and some quality family time took place. It was a nice evening.
