Thursday, July 9, 2015. A few months ago I went and saw the Native American Textile exhibit. At the De Young. It was gorgeous and has been rolling around in my head ever since. I'm finally going back and looking at some photos I took for reference and am re-inspired all over again. The geometrics were so good. Can I take this one home with me, please? Tuesday, July 21, 2015. All paper weavings via. I'm on a weaving kick apparently. This time- paper! I found this interesting piece of work on Patternban. And had to go see more. We Salute The Sketch. Is a piece of work from Danish textile designer's Helle Gråbæk and Maria Kirk Mikkelsen. They wove together paper into an unfinished "sketch" of paper in pattern, color and form.
