Thoughts, poems, prayers, sermons, and more from the Rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Tuesday, September 30, 2014. By what authority are you doing these things? By what authority are you doing these things? By what authority are you doing these things? By what authority are you doing these things? When Jesus entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, "By what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you this authority?

Rumble Community Baptist Church. March 1, 2014. 8220;Homeless Jesus” causes controversy, but why? Photo from www.sculpturebytps.com. Sculptor Timothy Schmalz has recently made headlines with his work “Homeless Jesus,”. Which depicts a man, wrapped in a blanket, lying on a park bench. Only his feet are visible, and they are marked with nail scars. Schmalz was inspired to create the sculpture after seeing a homeless man lying on the street. He was reminded of Matthew 25:40…. A little ironic, right? The Gos...

Just like St Albertus Magnus only, er, not so great. And not a saint. But apart from that. To keep you going. Farewell CCAM. We won't miss you. Well, he's back. Here we go again. Back out of hospital. All the stars of heaven's field. God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Islam and its discontents. It all ends in failure. It's all binary to me. It's the culture, stupid. One, holy, catholic, apostolic. Our furry, scaly, feathery friends. Out of the mouths of babes. The category when no other category will do.

A Sojourner's Tale: April 2014
http://progressivesalvationist.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
I'm a husband, a father, a Salvation Army officer, and a Red Letter Christian. Monday, April 28, 2014. Probably one of my biggest social media pet peeves. Is when friends and family share an obnoxious picture, with phrases such as, "Click like if Jesus is your Savior. Keep scrolling if you don't care." Another one says, "Type '1' if you can't live with out Jesus! Type '2' if you don't care." Finally, a regrettable, " Jesus, I pray for my unsaved family and friends! Those posts irritate me to no end.
