See food. eat. It’s been a while … →. Dad’s Spelt White Loaf. January 23, 2011. In December 2010, Lisa went all ‘no/low wheat’ on us (and is much better for it I might add). So me and my Dad (home bread baker expert) tried our hand at baking a loaf of spelt flour bread. I’m pleased to say it turned out pretty good. For those of us that don’t know, Spelt. 500g sifted white spelt flour (I bought the Macro brand from Woolies from the health food section). 285ml of warm water. 2 straws of shallots chopped.

This is the kind of meal that takes time to prepare, so allow yourself at least 2-3 hours and enjoy the experience! Mum and I did! 🙂 It’s all about the slow cooked onion and cream mixture that forms the basis of this yummy pie. 500g snapper, skinned, de-boned and cut into 4 cm pieces. 1 egg, lightly beaten.
