Tea Novice: Golden Monkey
http://teanovice.blogspot.com/2007/09/golden-monkey.html
Sunday, September 2, 2007. Before I begin, I will apologize to the lovers of black teas. I do not hate them, and I am not saying they are bad teas in the least. They're just not my favorites. However, I do enjoy a pot or three of my favorite black teas when, for example, I want to curl up with a good book. It seems a lot of people recommend having black teas (more breakfast blends though, or the main teas of breakfast belnds) with a bit of milk and sugar. Not me, though. I just don't have any (un...A lot...

Tea Novice: August 2007
http://teanovice.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Pu Qing Hao revisit. Today is a reminder, more to myself, of why I'd prefer 'Tea Novice' than a name implying more experience, knowledge, or anything else. When I first. Has recently tried this same tea. He described it as having fruity qualities. That makes perfect sense, considering the "Plum Blossom" portion of the name. Any way, the recent congratulatory remark among some in the online tea community has been the 2000th addition to Babelcarp. Sunday, August 26, 2007. Six gr...

http://teanovice.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 25, 2007. New equipment, and new tea. Today, everything but my yixing. Ware arrived. So now I have a Swiss Gold infuser and a gaiwan. I'm quite pleased with both! Came with a free sample (5.3 grams) of Silk Oolong. The birthplace of Ti Kuan. Yin tea). No, I don't know that much of tea lore. I found it a couple places, including Red Blossom Tea company. Where I purchased the gaiwan. So what is a gaiwan. Translated in Chinese directly as "covered bowl." And that's exactly what it is! Is kno...

Tea Novice: September 2007
http://teanovice.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 18, 2007. I broke off a nice 5 gram piece this time, and put that into my pot. The first infusion (after the rinses, of course) was much lighter than subsequent steeps, but it was full of flavor. The second infusion was quite dark, though. I was watching a movie at the time, tentatively, so I just kept going until the tea was well past finished and I was well past full of tea! So that's my 2005 Gong Ting story. Friday, September 14, 2007. Tuesday, September 11, 2007. From right to left...

Justice, Mercy and Grace. Just another WordPress.com weblog. 내 첫 번째 다기 세트 My first teaware set. 한국사람 미국에서 미국인에게 중국차를 배우다 Being introduced to Chinese tea in the US by an American friend.
