The Folk Tree Collection wants four of the fabric collages I posted about yesterday! My work is to be a part of their upcoming holiday exhibition entitled "Ornaments and Adornments XIV". (This means I just have four left.) I'm so excited and thrilled and bursting with joy! The opening night reception is November 18. I've already got it in my calendar. I went to the post office ...

Thursday, August 31, 2006. The Magic of Creation. The creation of that work. Once a piece has been realized, the magic that I'm speaking of will vanish like smoke in the wind. Artist Unleashed: Finally Finished!
http://artistunleashed.blogspot.com/2006/10/finally-finished.html
Tuesday, October 24, 2006. The incredibly talented and equally generous Mary Stanley. Taught me how to rug hook. This is my first attempt. I started it. about a year ago now? Geez At least I finished it, though. I turned it into a little pillow, and now it belongs to my friend Edina. If you want to see some "real" hooking that will just knock your socks off with it's creativity and originality, do take a gander at Mary's blog. It just takes me 5 times as long when working on myself.). Gesso Is My Friend.

Musings from the Yoga Mat. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Good Morning to you, from Ganesha! I love this little guy. He sits on my dresser, quietly removing obstacles as he sees fit. At not even an inch tall, that's a pretty powerful punch, I assure you! So why won't I have any future Sunday mornings free, you might ask? Well, I'll tell you. I got a job! I mean, I have a job but I got a second job working for YogaWorks. For those of you who don't know, my current job is as an artist. For obvious reasons...

Artist Unleashed: July 2006

Sunday, July 30, 2006. What I Did On My Summer Vacation. The giant sequoias are. inde- scribable. But I'll try. They are majestic, strong, graceful, eternal, humbling, powerful, magical, and unbelievable. And that doesn't even begin to cover it. I've never been so moved by something simply by its very existence. These pictures don't do them justice, believe me. And lastly, here's me with one of the really small trees. Yup, I just had to hug it! So what does this all have to do with art, you may ask?
