In 1990, I visited five refugee camps in Thailand, three Cambodian camps and two Hmong camps, to better understand the aftermath of the Indochina Wars and their effects on the people who survived. Since then I have followed the lives to two families, one Hmong and the other Cambodian, to better understand the realities and dilemmas that they have faced.
