Bull; Music forms a major part of the liturgy at Boxgrove Priory. Polyphonic and plainsong settings of anthems, motets and the Mass are used by the renowned choir. Released in November 2012, was recorded by the Choir in the Priory on 3 March 2012. It includes carols covering the Church’s year from Advent to Epiphany. Bull; Christmas at Boxgrove. Early History of the Priory. Founded by monks from the Abbey of Lessay in Normandy, Boxgrove claims a continuing link with the Benedictine traditions of worship, hospitality and learning, as well as enjoying a long ecumenical friendship with what is now the Parish of Lessay. Since the Dissolution of the Monasteries, “Boxgrove Priory” has served as the Parish Church of Boxgrove. The 16th Century to the present day. Pilot Officer Billy Fiske RAF. Billy Fiske, born Chicago in 1911, was killed in action in 1940 whilst stationed at Tangmere Aerodrome during the Battle of Britain. He was the first American Serviceman to die in World War II and is buried in the south-east part of the churchyard.". W M L FISKE III.
