Livigno lies in a small valley Valdisotto and the slopes for skiing are located on both sides of the valley. There are divided into two ski resorts one on each side. Ski resorts, weather, hotels, snow report. At the beginning of 20th century over a dozen modern hotels received several thousands of guests a year. Unfortunately both World Wars splashed the ink on an idyllic picture of the young resort. The military forts near Cortina that witnessed severe fights over Dolomites during the First World War are today part of ski tour Giro della Grande Guerra. The run is located on the slopes of Tofane mountain(3 244m), near the longest run in the area 7 km long Armentarola.
