Turning Points: July 2015
http://mathymusic.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
My life. one intersection at a time. Saturday, July 25, 2015. It has been 11 days since I last posted! I could blame being really busy, but I won't because, except for a few days, things have been pretty relaxed. The wedding is planned, the dress is here, programs are in progress and the belongings have been moved into an apartment in Texas. The old pick up truck has also been moved. But there's more planning going on besides this. The next 4 weeks will be very busy and exciting and then after that. ...

http://mathymusic.blogspot.com/2015/07/sometimes-change-is-goo-cough-cough-good.html
My life. one intersection at a time. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Sometimes change is goo. cough cough. good. At our house, there is a lot of change going on. DD is getting married in a mere 25 days. We are moving all her belongings early next week (and those of her fiance). Four states and a time change away in anticipation of that big day. Then the fiance moves into our house until the wedding day. Lots of change, and it has been GREAT. July 16, 2015 at 9:25 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Simple Th...

Turning Points: August 2014
http://mathymusic.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
My life. one intersection at a time. Wednesday, August 20, 2014. It's times like this when I wonder. I think about them and wonder if I did enough. Of course the answer is always no. I didn't. But on the other hand, if I had tried, the wedge between us would have grown. Double-edged sword. No matter what, someone bleeds. I think about her last days and minutes. Was she in pain? Did she try to get help? Try to call out? My guess is it all went too fast. At least that is my prayer. If I had expected truth.

Turning Points: November 2013
http://mathymusic.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
My life. one intersection at a time. Monday, November 25, 2013. The gift of time - it is good. First, Leah and I decided to skip Sunday School and sleep in. There was no lesson and we were tired. Went to church and lunch like normal and headed to the mall. It is the weekend before Thanksgiving - it couldn't be that crowded, right? Wrong I can't imagine what it is going to be like next weekend. Until next time, faithful readers, make your time good. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Turning Points: June 2013
http://mathymusic.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
My life. one intersection at a time. Monday, June 24, 2013. On campmeeting and answered prayers. This is the week of campmeeting. Since 1832 this meeting has occured annually - with the exception of a year or two during the Civil War. The preaching is special - visiting pastors. The music is special. It is a time of introspection and renewal as a church. And also personally. Monday, June 17, 2013. I've realized something: parenting is hard. It has been a day. Saturday, June 15, 2013. We are a family of i...

Turning Points: July 2014
http://mathymusic.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
My life. one intersection at a time. Monday, July 21, 2014. It has been six weeks since my sister passed away, five since her life was celebrated in a beautiful service. Finally, I think I know what normal will be like. I will be in frequent contact with my father, talking about his needs. I'll make more frequent trips to visit him. I will feel welcome in his home, where I did not before. Not because of him, but because of my sister. Am I feeling guilt? To quote a song I love:. Many things about tomorrow,.

Turning Points: December 2014
http://mathymusic.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
My life. one intersection at a time. Sunday, December 7, 2014. It has been almost 6 months since my sister's death, and the discovery of her real life and things I can't really verbalize. When I read it back to myself, I cringe to myself because of the rawness of it all, and double check to make sure I haven't left anything out. The read is rather clinical. I think this is the way I am processing this grief. It will be fine, but I don't think it will ever be over. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

My life. one intersection at a time. Monday, June 30, 2014. A couple of commandments. I'm a Christian and I'm proud of it. I believe the whole Bible. If you have a problem with that, you are excused. If you are okay with me interpreting a couple of commandments, then hang around, you might learn something. First, do not lie. Lies hurt. Now, I am not perfect. Have I lied? Second, honor your parents. I am waiting for that morning. The Sonrise will be glorious. Friday, June 20, 2014. It has been a whirlwind...

Treasure in Jars of Clay. Theological Help 5 –The Doctor is IN! Skip to primary content. Serving as a Christian Minister in a 5-4 World. July 8, 2015. On Friday, June 26, the Supreme Court ruled that the U. S. Constitution supports the right to same-sex marriage. The 5-4 decision split the high court along familiar liberal/conservative lines with Justice Anthony Kennedy casting the decisive vote.
