Stitching A Ride: May 2013
http://stitchingaride.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Sew Artfully Minded Blog. Friday, May 3, 2013. Hubby and I are out fishing for a bit this evening. Notice where hubby is. Now notice where I am. Brrrr! Fifty two degrees (according to Weather Bug) and it feels pretty nippy out there to me. Now we moved to a new location that still has a bit of sun shining by the dock. It'll be a cold night (low thirties) so this is bound to be a short fishing trip. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Find Me On the Internet.

Friday, June 19, 2009. Have YOU got this disease? It's not my fault.I've got a disease—a disease I've had to live with for over 10 years. It's called boredom. I'll bet some of you have it, too. With sameness. A. With our replicated, dull, assembly-line living. Oh I know, the process of replication in the manufacturing, housing, textile and automotive industries has led to much more affordable goods—and services too. Thank you very much Henry Ford! Are you bored with your choices of cars? And so, our hous...

Tuesday, July 21, 2009. 700 Year Old Houses. In the north east of Iran at the foot of Mt. Sahand in Kandovan, the villagers live in cave homes carved out from volcanic rock. Some date back more than 700 years. Just try to imagine how much work it was to build homes into the mountain like this without any power tools. If this one were painted white, you might think it was a picture of a house along the Mediterranean! Homes were sculpted into the mountain on all levels. How about as an adult? The Last Amer...

Can a city boy build his dream homestead on a mountain, by himself and with no mortgage? Is one a rat for jumping off a sinking ship? Http:/ www.nytimes.com/2012/05/13/us/huge-new-shortfall-predicted-in-california-budget.html? The state of California is bankrupt and continues to spend itself into oblivion. With oppressive unemployment, the worst schools i...

Ramblings of a recovering stuff-aholic and budding atheist. A little background…. The Mind Behind the Madness. Creating good simple habits. As I continue to read books and check out websites on all of my old and fairly newfound interests, one thing I’ve noticed is that I’m picking up some new habits, and creating some of my own along the way as well. When I went out grocery shopping, to the park, whatever? To do that. Some are taking classes full-time, raising families with small children, working fu...
