Draw out the happiness. I have had a difficult time making myself sit down and create lately. I don't want to delve too much into personal issues here so let me be brief. I struggle with bouts of depression. I wasn't taking care of myself and didn't pay attention when the warning signs appeared. It sucked. I'm okay. This unfinished art journal page was the perfect place to incorporate the sketches from the other day. Scanning and printing your artwork is a great way to play around with your artwork. Here is how the page started:. After scanning my sketches and printing them with my laser printer I ripped out the area I wanted to use and adhered it to the page with soft gel medium. I finished the page with my trusty Prismacolor pencils and added journaling with a black pen. Well, hey there 2015.let's get started.

One way I like to sketch faces is while I watch TV. I just use some copy paper and a pencil. No pressure! I pay attention to the facial features of the characters as they are on the screen and quickly sketch. It is a fun way to draw quick little studies of the human face and explore all the beautiful differences each of us have. The scribbly mess in the upper right hand corner is my warm up. Then I moved on to the complete face below it. Then I just started drawing random features all over.

Is a voluntary charity set up to help children and families in need through a variety of projects locally, nationally and internationally. Was founded by Sarah Williams who has spent over 20 years working with under-privileged children around the world. Sarah has completed between 4 months and 4 years voluntary work at 30 charities and plans to give £200 to these 30 charities - a total of £6,000.
