This past summer a friend told us about hosting foreign exchange students. My sister and her family have hosted in the past and really enjoyed their experience. We have not had the room or the ability to host until now. After talking about the opportunity with each other and the kids, we thought we would start the process and look into it. Her only real bump along the way was finding school a bit more challenging than she expected as far as her English skills were concerned. Yet she has succeeded wit...

http://croppermom.blogspot.com/2011/08/thankful-thursday_18.html
Thursday, August 18, 2011. This week I am thankful for my wonderful new daughter "Megan." She is our new exchange student, she is from Thailand. She arrived last Friday night. She had a 26 hours travel to get here. She was tired and very glad to have the travel part over with. Megan has started marching band where she is a member of the percussion pit! She will start school a few days late as we are still getting her registered. We are still great friends, 18 years later. August 18, 2011 at 8:37 AM.
