Friday, December 31, 2010. SNP south: Jones Run and Doyles River. My brother John and I would soon find out. Trekking downhill in the snow on the AT was a breeze. A fast pace on gentle slope, slipping every so often just made the fast going fun. And it was sunny and warm! Thick blue ice surrounded the thin ribbon of water at the core.
