South Okanagan Adventure Kayaking ( SOAK ) Blog. Thursday, July 29, 2010. July 27, 2010 - Garnet Lake. I went for a kayak paddle today at Garnet Lake, circum-navigating the lake for 7.4 km. It was a hot afternoon and a few splashes of cool water on my face and arms kept me cool. Here is a photo looking back at the south end of the lake where I launched. Here is a view from the beach at Marina Way in Penticton. My kayak all ready to go. The bunch of us ready for a paddling lesson. We left from the beach at Marina Way in Penticton. And paddled north up to 3 Mile Beach. Some interesting cliff and shoreline. Big bird watching our progress. Paddle, Paddle, Paddle your kayak gently down the lake.
