Sogetsu School of Ikebana, Victorian Branch. The final workshop for 2017 was lead by the Director, Elizabeth Angell, on two themes from the curriculum, combined into one arrangement. The first being incorporating fruit or vegetables and the second taking into account the colour of the vessel. For her demonstration works Elizabeth first used red. It is an exciting and rewarding world, and I find enormous pleasure and satisfaction in the creation of beautiful ikebana arrangements out of flowers and other natural materials. You can share in these happy experiences by taking classes and participating in the activities of the local Sogetsu branch, including workshops and exhibitions. You can see examples of the use of that material. Classes are held in my studio at home in Jindalee, Brisbane.
