Wednesday, 25 February 2009. SPURS almost safe after their win at Hull. Jonathan Woodgate virtually sealed Spurs survival. Aaron Lennon fired in an early goal only to have Hull equalize when Michael Turner forced in from very close quarters. Woodgate made sure of the win by battling his header in. Manchester United fans continued what is becoming a disgraceful display by football fans supporting their teams in the Carling Cup competition, following on from West Ham and Millwall fans episode. After this latest episode of fan behavour United can expect to be treated harshly by the FA, Barnsley are also reported to be seeking six figure damages to repair the devastation. Thursday, 29 October 2009. Kevin Keagan wins £3m damages from Newcastle. Kevin Keagen finally end his. Long and acrimonious disput with Newcastle United following his leaving the club. The courts ruled in his favour agreeing that he did suffer what was described as constructive dismissal. The judge was very critical on the actions of the them Director of Football Dennis Wise, saying the Wise made the job of manager (Keagen's) unworkable.
