This painting was a joy to paint. I had bought this beautiful little handmade pottery vase in Canterbury near the Cathedral. It was the perfect blue pot to display my yellow roses. http://aprillesgarden.blogspot.com/2017/01/winter-vegetables.html
Aprille's SoCal Gardening ✿❀✾. Tuesday, January 10, 2017. I was pruning roses at a job in drizzle today when I noticed their sad tomato vegetable beds with nothing in them! If you're in SoCal, know that this is a great time to grow winter vegetables! What you say, you can grow veggies in winter? I have trouble with the brassica family though as they tend to get aphids. But I am a big salad girl. So I love to grow lettuce! I love not having to buy lettuce for about 3-4 months! January 11, 2017 at 6:39 AM.

What a funny name. And the height listed is 5-8'! The packet also says you can cook the seeds like rice or pop like popcorn! I began seei...

Aprille's SoCal Gardening ✿❀✾. Monday, October 10, 2016. I've had this weird little vine for maybe 15 years in several different pots. I love the little olive green leaves and the reddish stems. Sometimes it's sold with houseplants in garden centers. I cannot imagine being able to grow it indoors! Mine is such a little monster that you can't even see the pot!
