Another nurse in the crowd . . . September 16, 2009 @ 4:16 pm. 183; { Uncategorized. I don’t get into political debates often. And I am not going to jump into this one too far. When I first graduated, I was asked several times why I didn’t move to the US to work. With all the great job offers, better pay, some places even offering to help you buy or rent a house… it was hard to say no. But my answer usually stopped the discussion cold. 2 Comments ». Tractor Tracks: Wildlife Transport Volunteer
http://tractortracks.blogspot.com/2014/05/wildlife-transport-volunteer.html
Saturday, May 10, 2014. I are one now. Went to a class the second of this month so that I could get approved for transporting wildlife from our area to rehab centers to the north of us. Anywho, I went to the class where a nice lady basically explained things I already knew about wildlife and handling them. Anyway, me being the sucker that I am, I'm now on the call list for such things. and I'm the only one in the county, I think. So, we'll give em as much time as we can before we *have* to turn the mill ...

Tractor Tracks: Jan 1, 2015

Thursday, January 1, 2015. The Book of Barkley a read for the heart. For Christmas I received a copy of The book of Barkley. I was excited since I had been reading blog posts from this lady for a while. She has an amazing way of looking at the world and bringing you right along with her to witness life from a slightly different perspective. Lab” Even before Barkley was old enough to leave the litter, he picked Johnson out to be his mother. As the other puppies ran around frolicking over new peo...This me...

Tractor Tracks: Something New For The New Year
http://tractortracks.blogspot.com/2008/01/something-new-for-new-year.html
Saturday, January 5, 2008. Something New For The New Year. I know I've been quiet lately. Nothing exciting has been happening in real life, and I've been working, off and on, on my latest little pet project. Yes, this means the beginning to yet another story without finishing others. I am still trying to work on Men In Black Suits, I swear. It's just not. ready for human consumption yet. So, without further ado, I give you my latest project, Jane. (Give me a break, it's a working title.) ( This i...8221;...

Tractor Tracks: Chicken Scratch
http://tractortracks.blogspot.com/2014/09/chicken-scratch.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. I know I've been noticeably absent lately, and I can't promise it won't happen again. Frankly, most of what I consider entertaining/interesting is happening at my job lately, which makes it hard to come up with something to post about. So since someone (Cough OldNFO. Cough) chewed on me about posting, I'll post the only other remotely interesting thing that's been happening, and what I'm most focused on this particular week: Chickens. On a Wing and a Whim. Only thing I know a...

Tractor Tracks: Pan Gravy Ala FarmMom
http://tractortracks.blogspot.com/2009/11/pan-gravy-ala-farmmom.html
Sunday, November 15, 2009. Pan Gravy Ala FarmMom. Ok Phlegmmy, here ya go Lady. For good pan gravy the very first thing you MUST do is fry up some good dead critter be it beef, chicken or whatever suits your fancy. Then decide how much gravy you want to make. For Farmdad. And I, I leave about 1/4 cup of the grease that I fried my meat in in the bottom of the pan. Make sure your grease is hot but not smokin. Now the real secret to pan gravy is to let the flour cook into your grease. Do not under cook.

Tractor Tracks: Something from Nothing
http://tractortracks.blogspot.com/2010/05/something-from-nothing.html
Monday, May 10, 2010. Ok Once again I am going to try to put my thoughts into words. Hang in there with me since I am not very good at it. Unlike so many of my Blogger friends! Yesterday was Mothers Day and naturally I was thinking of my Mother and Grandmothers, none of whom are still with me. Beef and Homemade Egg Noodles. Start with a chunk of meat. It can be a tough sub par piece because you boil it to death! Next add flour. Then add some more flour. then some more. Roll the dough out pretty thin....

Tractor Tracks: Green Chili ala Poppa Dick
http://tractortracks.blogspot.com/2013/12/green-chili-ala-poppa-dick.html
Monday, December 9, 2013. Green Chili ala Poppa Dick. It's been cold. and I mean COLD. For the last week. Yesterday I made a pot of Poppa Dicks green chili. This recipe works well with any meat from pork to venison. I used some venison that our renters gave us. Farmdad was bragging and someone asked for the recipe so here we go. Poppa Dicks Green Chili. 1-2 lbs of cubed meat. 1 cup chopped celery. 1 cup chopped onion. 2 cans of diced tomatoes. 1 large can of green chilies. 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Confessi...
