From my experience, cultivating your own sourdough starter from scratch isn’t as difficult or as complicated as some people make it appear. I just successfully cultivated my second “liquid” starter from scratch. Basic summary: I fed it 1/3 cup flour and 1/3 warm water every 24 hours (sometimes I fed it a pinch of sugar) and stir every 8 hours (not always punctually). Here’s the finer details:. Cover with towel and let sit in warm place.
