Friday, March 22, 2013. Well, the first day of spring was on Wednesday and I tell you what, things aren't looking too springy around here. Don't get me wrong, we have had some truly beautiful sunny days! But they've come with wind and chilly temperatures. Thursday, January 3, 2013. This is the first time I've been home alone all day on a weekday in. I think the hardest part of the recipe would be the cranberry apple glaze that I decided was unnecessary since I was cooking only for myself. I just sliced a small baguette, placed the slices in a dish, poured 2.5 cups of egg nog over them, and allowed them to sit in the fridge all day, then baked 3 of the small slices in the toaster oven for about ten minutes. Monday, November 26, 2012. I can't believe this is already our third Christmas together! We're so excited to be celebrating in our new home :) Steven and I aren't normally the type to decorate for Christmas a week before December but we decided to take advantage of the temporary sunshine and do our Christmas tree picking out while it wasn't raining. Wednesday, September 25, 2013. At the beginning of the summer, Scott and Kristen came up for a weekend to help us with a couple of home improvement projects. We really wanted a granite bar out on our balcony. I was sure this was going to be a ridiculously expensive project but with Scott's expertise and trunk full of tools, it really wasn't bad at all. They found this 7 foot slap of granite for only $100 and the color matches our house perfectly! Now if only we could afford the barstools to sit at it.
