http://lifewithclairebear.blogspot.com/p/our-families-story.html
Life with Claire Bear. Our family's story of raising our disabled child. HOW YOU CAN HELP. Thank you all for caring enough to come here. As you all know, Claire suffered a devastating injury to her spine on December 17, 2011. We are making the site to keep everybody abreast of what is going on with Claire and how things are progressing. It often to read the latest journal entries. And thank you for visiting! It was as normal a day could be in the Fuchs household. Then our lives were turned upside down.

Life with Claire Bear. Our family's story of raising our disabled child. HOW YOU CAN HELP. Tuesday, January 17, 2012. So, not much time to spend at my house and do a lotta work BUT in the time I do have I try to be productive. Here's a video of what our house looks like inside, on the bottom floor where all the modifications are taking place. The narrative is a little dry (ok a LOT) but I'll try to improve. Life with Claire Bear. Our family's story of raising our disabled child. HOW YOU CAN HELP. Saturday, February 11, 2012. Home and Loving it! Chris has taken most of the house stuff and I am settling back into mom stuff like cooking and cleaning. I am sitting down for the first time truly in weeks and I am so very tired. I am logging about 4-5 hours a night of sleep right now and I do believe that tonight will be the night that I get that magical big night of solid sleep. I'll let you know. Glad I was able...

Life with Claire Bear. Our family's story of raising our disabled child. HOW YOU CAN HELP. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Just strikes me as odd that she avoids this kind of illness. She always was more resilient than the rest of us in the sickness department, and I've gotta say I'm glad she still has that trait, because this was not a fun flu-bug to have to fight with. Anyways, enough about our being under the weather, that's not why any of you read up on this blog, right? How about some updates? When Claire ...

Life with Claire Bear: December 2011

Life with Claire Bear. Our family's story of raising our disabled child. HOW YOU CAN HELP. Friday, December 30, 2011. Frustration . . . Claire is such a trooper! Claire, really, just wants none of this hospital at this point - and rightfully so. She is so used to being free to roam and go where she pleases that this new inability just makes her mad. She never liked being told no in the past, now her legs are essentially telling her "no" and it just doesn't bode well with her. For fear of spreading unnece...

Life with Claire Bear. Our family's story of raising our disabled child. HOW YOU CAN HELP. Saturday, January 14, 2012. Another week, a little more progress. Wow, it has been a long week. It was my first week back at work and Jacob's first week back to school. Karlee now is pulling full weeks at the hospital with Claire and I'm handling the weekends - or at least one of the weekend days, depending on how Karlee is doing with the extended stay. Claire is also getting very good at handling her wheel chair a...
