I was driving around South St. Louis City around lunch time and I came across Macklind Avenue Deli. I stopped in to see what they had to offer. The menu consisted of different sandwiches that you would typically find in a deli. They had the turkey, roast beef, ham and salami. Prices were decent. I got a roast beef sandwich, a side of macaroni salad and a drink for around $8.50.

The food was buffet style with Hodak's famous fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes and salad. All of the food was very good. This was my first time having the fried chicken and it was very good. I can see why they are famous for fried chicken in the St. Louis area. The mashed potatoes are also worth recognizing as they were good as well. Restaurant of the day.
