New Mexico Turners: Backyard Part 2
http://newmexicoturners.blogspot.com/2011/05/backyard-part-2.html
Our Exploits in and Around the Land of Enchantment. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. After putting in grass last week, today was spent on the fire pit area. Nothing fancy- less than $125 dollars for the chairs and fire bowl, but already the backyard is a gathering space for the kids after homework. Once they can play on the grass that will only increase. New Mexico Turners: Some Christmas Photos
http://newmexicoturners.blogspot.com/2010/12/some-christmas-photos.html
Our Exploits in and Around the Land of Enchantment. Friday, December 24, 2010. Here are some winter-themed pictures from the past week. First, the boys and I played in the snow we got in ABQ last Friday- nearly half an inch, and enough for a two-hour delay. Next, the kids at Temple Square earlier this week. And, finally, Summer and me (pre-hair cut) at Temple Square. I'll probably post some Christmas-morning pictures this weekend. Until then, Merry Christmas. We love your family! Picture of the Week.

New Mexico Turners: July 2010
http://newmexicoturners.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Our Exploits in and Around the Land of Enchantment. Saturday, July 10, 2010. Rubber Egg (also called see-through egg or raw egg peeler). You MUST try doing this sometime! Pour a glass about half full of white vinegar. Put in a raw egg. Leave for a couple of days. (Ours worked in about 24 hours.). When you take the egg out it feels like rubber! Here are some before and after shots. Before (the bubbles are just starting! After (notice how it looks swollen, and yellowish-that would be the yoke). Rubber Egg ...

New Mexico Turners: September 2009
http://newmexicoturners.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Our Exploits in and Around the Land of Enchantment. Monday, September 7, 2009. To celebrate the last day off until Thanksgiving (the kids and I both have some days off before then, but Labor Day is the last joint holiday until we eat turkey), we decided to join some friends from the ward in a trip to the Pecos National Historical Park in northern New Mexico. It's place we've been meaning to visit for some time, and the group outing made it ideal. The start of the trail. Seven of the Twelve Children.

New Mexico Turners: October 2009
http://newmexicoturners.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Our Exploits in and Around the Land of Enchantment. Thursday, October 15, 2009. A Day at the Farm. This week marks UNM's fall break, an event that ordinarily would mean nothing, except for the fact that I am teaching there on Tuesdays and Thursdays, meaning that I had today off. As fate would have it, today was also Isaac's field trip to the Wagner farm in nearby Corrales, so I went along. The first stop was the corn maze, which is always a good time, but, since it doesn't lend itself to many good pictur...

New Mexico Turners: The Kind of Mundane Thing That Makes Me Happy
http://newmexicoturners.blogspot.com/2010/08/kind-of-mundane-thing-that-makes-me.html
Our Exploits in and Around the Land of Enchantment. Saturday, August 14, 2010. The Kind of Mundane Thing That Makes Me Happy. So I got working on the project this morning, and by the time Summer had returned from grocery shopping I had done all the easy work. She and I then moved the piano, desk, couch, and chair. Here, then, is the finished product:. The dressers in the entry way. The new, wide-open living room, perfect for playing games. The piano makes a nice addition to the dining room.

New Mexico Turners: May 2010
http://newmexicoturners.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Our Exploits in and Around the Land of Enchantment. Friday, May 14, 2010. On Monday, Allyson had a field trip to an afternoon Isotopes game, and as Summer picked me up outside my office, I commented that I was proud of my little girl had her priorities straight- skipping class for baseball. Well, today was another such day- playing hooky as a family. This year we decided to up the ante and get out of town. Our plan was simple- catch the Rail Runner. The station in ABQ is adjacent to the bus depot, and it...

New Mexico Turners: February 2011
http://newmexicoturners.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Our Exploits in and Around the Land of Enchantment. Monday, February 21, 2011. On Saturday we took the Rail Runner up to Santa Fe again, a trip that we find both fun and relaxing- fun because we get to do cool Santa Fe things and relaxing because we don't have to drive in Santa Fe, one of the worst cities for cars in the nation. Here are some photographic highlights from the trip. First, Allyson at the ABQ station:. Next, Isaac waiting to board the train:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Picture of the Week.
