Simple Home Year: Food preserving and storage a preserving calendar. June 14, 2016. June 13, 2016. Sally Wise taken by Veronica Youd. We grow sufficient leafy vegetables, tomatoes, herbs to supplement our purchases from markets and greengrocers. Space restrictions limit the amount of fruit we grow to some lemons, the occasional strawberry although we do have some new plants in. This year I am reading the delightful Sally Wise. 8216;s A Year on the Farm. And at My Green Australia. With what is happening l...

Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Birds of a Feather. Birds of a feather flock together. This little bag is one of the projects from last years Urban Stitches. This is a Melly and Me pattern. And then I made a little purse to go with it. And I enjoyed making the little purses so I made a few more. I am off to 'Urban Stitches' again this weekend. I am really looking forward to it. Monday, July 30, 2012. I have been having Internet connectivity issues. My fingers are crossed that is all behind me now! I started making this wall hanging a couple of years ago with Penny. I helped Penny finish hers and then mine just kept getting relegated to the bottom of the pile. But ta da - done! This is based on a design by Alysse Hennessey. In the book Pretty Little Mini Quilts. Posted by Scooby Lou . Monday, July 9, 2012. I vaguely followed the pattern. sort of. I made this one too. The Instag...

Tuesday, January 29, 2013. I held a market stall at the Library Market in October, November and December. As in previous years this was lots of work but also lots of fun. I thoroughly enjoy the market days. I was so busy during this time I didn't take individual photo's of everything I made and just snapped a few shots of the stall on the day of the markets. Posted by Scooby Lou . Monday, January 28, 2013. Charlie, has seen me wearing my Market Apron. And felt that she needed one to wear to work. It is f...

I Am ScoobyLou...: February 2013
http://iamscoobylou.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 17, 2013. I like to make skirts. The week the kids went back to school,. I decided I would make a new skirt to go with a necklace my friend Donna gave me. It kind of snowballed. This is where I started. Skirt to go with new necklace (hanging on the left). An A-Line skirt made from purple stretch linen. I added a couple of pockets to the front to jazz it up a bit. Next up was a plain black stretch linen A-Line (you'll start to see a bit of a theme here),. To be worn under my apron overlays.

Stories of the “Week”. Another post about Week in the Life – the concept by Ali Edwards. 🙂 I started putting together our week in the life, and it is a big task! I have found that I have really looked deeply into what I do every day, and what we do, and it is amazing how much we cram into the every day! There never seems to be much downtime at all, until the kids are in bed at night! I have got random photos on the back of this page from the ...
