Capital J's Vikings Corner: Vikings Select Chris Cook
http://www.vikingscorner.com/2010/04/vikings-select-chris-cook.html
Friday, April 23, 2010. Vikings Select Chris Cook. With the 34th overall pick, the Vikings went with DB Chris Cook from Virginia. Cook was covered in my earlier analysis of players we drafted. The top of the 2nd is thought to be a little high for Cook and the Vikings may have been able to get him at the end of the 2nd round. Time will tell whether or not it was a good pick. Everything But Hockey: April 2009

Tuesday, April 28, 2009. To Draft A Falling Star. When the Minnesota Vikings take the field at the Metrodome for the first time in 2009, they will be facing none other than my beloved San Francisco 49ers in what will be the first meeting between first round draft picks and fellow wide receivers, Michael Crabtree and Percy Harvin. Of course they also share the reputation as ego-driven, me-first types who for various reasons saw their projected draft positions slip considerably on draft day.

Everything But Hockey: Eldrick Woods: Human Being
http://everythingbuthockey.blogspot.com/2009/12/eldrick-woods-human-being.html
Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Eldrick Woods: Human Being. Let's go ahead and get a few things out of the way right now. Yes, Tiger Woods is my favorite golfer and favorite athlete period. No, I don't think what he has all but admitted to doing is ok or should be looked at as anything other than wrong. Now that we have those two points out of the way, I do have a few thoughts on this issue. Consider this. What happens if Tiger misses that fire hydrant and subsequently misses that tree and just drives o...

Everything But Hockey: Sheer Randomness
http://everythingbuthockey.blogspot.com/2009/11/sheer-randomness.html
Friday, November 13, 2009. With Mike on a short hiatus this week and no NFL picks article, I thought I'd take a few minutes to chime in on a few of the things going on in the world of sports in a new feature I like to call "Sheer Randomness". Cutler Can't Cut It. It's true that quarterbacks get equal parts too much credit and too much blame for the successes and failures of their team, but the best quarterbacks learn to eliminate their mistakes and point the finger at themselves when they make them. ...

Wednesday, November 25, 2009. 5 Things. I Would Change About The NFL. Just in time for Thanksgiving Im unveiling a new feature here at EBH called simply, 5 Things. Simple really, every week I will pick a topic and ramble on about 5 things I love, hate, cant stand, would change, etc. about said topic. This week we take a closer look at the NFL and how I would change things if I had my way. 5 Sex Sells But Apparently Doesnt Pay. Im not saying that the act of being a cheerleader, which entails bikini and li...

Everything But Hockey: September 2008
http://everythingbuthockey.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2008. For the few of you that come to. Often, first off, thank you. I truly appreciate anyone who takes a few minutes to check out what I have to say about things. Unfortunately right now I'm not getting the kind of repsonse that I was hoping for when I started this blog. Because of that I'm going to put my blogging on hold for a few weeks while I come up with a better schedule and a better approach to the whole thing. Thanks again for your support and I'll be back soon, promise.

Everything But Hockey: January 2010
http://everythingbuthockey.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. Opposites Attract: Steve Young vs. Kurt Warner. Kurt Warner may go down in history as the most improbable superstar quarterback ever to play in the NFL and his retirement has pundits across the country weighing in on his place in the history of the game. Most, if not all, agree that Warner crafted a Hall of Fame worthy career and I certainly agree with that sentiment. Now you must be thinking, Steve Young and Kurt Warner? Theyre nothing alike. And youd be right. By "this" of cou...
