We found this table the other day, Donna was using the back of it for a scratch pad. It came from one of her school scribblers. At first I didn’t appreciate how dated it was, no metric terms, and then I spotted all those obscure measures that are no longer in use. The table reminded me of a couple of stories. I am not allowed to say how many years ago that was.

Not sure that we will grow anything special but it will extend the season both before and after the usual growing season. I first became acquainted with these words many years ago during my first term of school while learning to become a land surveyor. The teacher explained the difference in their meaning and correct usuage but for some reason it was a lesson that never really sunk in.
