When I lived in my old house I had crazy neighbors. The family consisted of an over-protective mother, a crazy father, a cute little 3 year old blond. Nine year old Madaline. She was a violent. Came over to our house to play with my little sisters. After a while I went to the back yard to check on the kids and to tell Madaline. Thank heavens for that!

My adventures, great and small. Friday, February 15. Yesterday we arrived at the NGO that we work at, and realized we'd gotten a little dirty from the red dirt on our way over. Alfred, the man who runs the grounds, led us to the kitchen and poured water over our hands as we rubbed them with soap. Me: I think I'm clean now. Alfred: (Pointing to the freckles and moles on my arm): What about those? Me: Oh, those are just part of my skin. I was born with them. They are like dots on my skin.

My adventures, great and small. Thursday, February 21. One week in Gulu. We have been in Gulu for one week and one day. I can't believe it has been so little time, when I feel so at home! My first full day in Gulu (last Thursday), I remember walking around the streets and telling Jenny that I have never been so keenly aware of my skin color. Here in Gulu, everyone is mostly African. We see maybe. I had taken notice of that detail as I wrote my field notes, but I'd forgotten about it soon thereafter.

My adventures, great and small. Saturday, March 23. Some snapshots from our safari at Murchison Falls last weekend. We saw it all- monkeys, warthogs, antelope, elephants, babboons, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, water buffalo. We took hundreds of pictures, but here are a few:. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. In my opinion the way fantasy is being portrayed currently is extremely ridiculous. I will admit how true it is that in the fantasy world anything can happen, but does it count by the way it happens? Posted by Isaac wizard. I don't believe that people see fantasy as just Harry Potter magic. Fantasy is a broad set of ideas that do not always include magic. Suppose every fantasy tale has a trace of magic, small or big, but not all of it is willpower, magic etc.
