Life As We Know It: July 2015
http://chixongrant.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. Stink Bug for Daphne. This post is mostly for my niece Daphne who is quite the entomologist in the making but some of you might also find it interesting. Look what Desmond and Aliya spotted on our way home from a baby shower last week! They saw it before as well but Dixon and I were to busy deciding which way to go and we weren't paying attention to what they were looking at. Luckily it was still there when we got home. Isn't that a cool looking bug? What bugs have you found lately?

Sunday, August 2, 2015. Keeping It All In the Family. After church Dixon got on familysearch.org and was requesting his ancestors patriarchal blessings and I mentioned how surprised I was to learn I had at least 23 pioneer ancestors who crossed the plains to Utah with the early saints and I looked up the names again and said, "Maybe these include your ancestors as well because I think this Elizabeth Caroline Freeman must be from your Mom's side.wait a minute! What if we are related? Where There Is Love.

November 10, 2012. Have a holly jolly Christmas. It's the best time of the year.". I get so "homesick" for Christmas. I just can't wait for the lights and decorations, cheesy Christmas shows, the music in November, and the Christmas spirit. Some of our traditions are:. 1- Sorensen Family Christmas Party: We started spending Christmas Eve at home a few years ago. Jared's side of the family all get together before Christmas to open the presents we got for each other and our pj's. 65279;. Meg's school has...

The Sorensens: August 2011
http://jpsorensen81.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
August 4, 2011. Cali turned the big 2! In June, my baby turned 2. She is getting way too big for her britches. She spends all day cleaning, sitting on her potty (just to read, not go), pretending to paint nails and putting "lips" on. She also is busy telling her big sister "top it" (stop it). Telling me "no, I do it" and "how come mom". Telling her dad "you punny" (you're funny). And my personal favorite being "pancy" (fancy). She loves to dress up with Meg, pick peas in the garden, and tell jokes. We ma...

Life As We Know It: June 2015
http://chixongrant.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. I hit the big 3-1 this month. Dixon and I celebrated the day before and went for a run around MacRitchie Reservoir. We are not in top form but it was good to get out and exercise and get away from the city and run through some trees around the water. We walked the last mile and Dixon's hands were swelling. Don't know what that was about but with in an hour they were back to normal. Dixon was amazed and Desmond started to "swim" on his own. Wahoo. My favorite part of the day was ge...
