Live Tracking & Route. An overlander’s rite of passage: Marsabit to Moyale. By SMorgs on 11/08/2013. Tells you what the road can throw at you. The next morning, we were up at first light to hit the road. My stomach had managed to knot itself so tightly that not even Petra’s cooked breakfast could persuade us to eat. We just needed to get going, and get this over with! A dry start to the journey towards Marsabit. Plenty of people stuck along the way – everyone helping each other. We were very happy to cal...

Live Tracking & Route. Gorillas and growing walking sticks in Uganda. By SMorgs on 10/27/2013. They say that in Uganda, if you a plant a walking stick it will grow. I can believe that! The volcanic crater of Mount Mgahinga. We were given a quick briefing and introduced to our guide and a ranger, who I was very pleased to see carrying a big gun. I wasn’t sure if this was for gorillas gone bad, stray elephants or considering that this was the DRC border, maybe a rebel or two? The start of the walk up.

Driving out of Maun, the road turned to sand almost immediately it’s straight into it!

Live Tracking & Route. Joining the great migration in the Serengeti. By SMorgs on 10/19/2013. The Serengeti is a place i’ve dreamed of going, ever since I first saw David Attenborough’s documentaries when I was a little girl. To say I was excited about going is an understatement! We’d heard about the extortionate fees and bad roads, but nothing was going to stop us from going how bad could it be? I was left wing slapped and sandwich-less! The view over the Ngorongoro crater. Live Tracking & Route. Malawi The Warm Heart of Africa. By SMorgs on 09/23/2013. Despite being one of the poorest African countries, Malawi is known as the ‘warm heart of Africa’ and also ‘Africa for beginners’ due to the laid back and peaceful people. However, our first 24hours in Malawi, was not quite the ‘Warm heart’ we were expecting! It’s fair to say, that the gesture and hair-free face made things instantly better again. This was a sight a never hope to see again. Rich – the Pied Piper! We are in K...

Live Tracking & Route. Kylie has undergone some pretty extensive modifications since we bought her. She has definitely become the love of my life (after the wife) which I’m pleased to learn that is a common affliction shared by many motoring enthusiasts, in particular those who drive 4wds. I recently spent a day at Techno Automotive. So here it is, a comprehensive list of the work I have undertaken with the help from a few people along the way. 8211; Restored ARB bullbar bought on eBay and reconditioned.
