It was really easy to see why it has been appointed as a UNESCO heritage site. A rather bumpy four-hour ride on a mini-bus got us from Hanoi to the port of Halong City, where our junk boat awaited and sent us on a scenic journey past islands and islets to the Halong Bay area. As part of our itinerary, I also managed to kayak in Halong Bay!
