Laquo; ich bin ein berliner. ישראל, המקום הטוב ביותר בעולם. I just returned to Barcelona from almost two weeks Tel Aviv, Israel. Which I must say definitely gives Barcelona a run for its money in pretty much every aspect. The city of Tel Aviv is making its way up to the to being among the top in the world in both dining and nightlife. Began and therefore would not have the opportunity to have a proper Pesach seder. We spent our days visiting some of my favorite places including the shuks. You are comment...

I love Tel-Aviv: ... because of curiosity of a foreigner
http://www.iluvtlv.com/2012/01/because-of-curiosity-of-foreigner.html
A tribute to my city. Monday, January 30, 2012. Because of curiosity of a foreigner. The "Shorashim" gallery on Habima square had opened yesterday a new exposition called "View from here - light from there". The exhibition includes the works of painters from the former Soviet Union who work and live here, in Israel, but who naturally bring their background, education and culture into their creations. Kind of a boiling point in the form of art. My friend Lesya Bershov is one of the artists of the exhibiti...

I love Tel-Aviv: ... because of the architecture (Pagoda house)
http://www.iluvtlv.com/2013/08/because-of-architecture-pagoda-house.html
A tribute to my city. Sunday, August 18, 2013. Because of the architecture (Pagoda house). I must have passed tens of times by this magnificent Pagoda house on the corner of Nahmani and Montefiori streets, but until now I never stopped by to take a close look and appreciate its splendor. This building was built in 1925 and renovated in the 2000s. Today this is a private residence. With all the gorgeous old Tel Aviv buildings in a very sad state, this renovation is truly inspiring. Happy Sunday everyone :).

I love Tel-Aviv: ... because of dogs
http://www.iluvtlv.com/2008/03/because-of-dogs.html
A tribute to my city. Saturday, March 15, 2008. Residents of Tel-Aviv LOVE dogs. Of all shapes, sizes, and kinds. The dogs are usually very nice and friendly, not of killer breeds like a Rottweiler or a Mastiff. At any hour of a day, when you walk the streets of the city, you will meet lots of people with their pets. It's quite an unusual characteristic for the big city. Posted by Olga Levina. I love Tel-Aviv: ... despite of the embassies
http://www.iluvtlv.com/2010/05/despite-of-embassies.html
A tribute to my city. Friday, May 14, 2010. Despite of the embassies. In Israel, most of the foreign embassies are located in Tel Aviv, rather than in our capital Jerusalem (due to unfortunate reluctance in accepting Jerusalem as the capital of the state of Israel). They usually reside in nice buildings, thus slightly upgrading the overall outlook of the city (even though they hide behind thick fences, but this is an understandable security need). Sure, I love the fact that the embassies are in Tel Aviv ...

I love Tel-Aviv: ... including Allenby street

A tribute to my city. Saturday, October 23, 2010. Shmuel-David" building, est. 1923, on Allenby 79. Me: "Doubtless, Ibn Gabirol. Is one of the most aesthetically unpleasing streets of Tel Aviv.". Lesya, with apparent astonishment: "Seriously, Ibn Gabirol? What would you say about Allenby. Spanish bookstore, Allenby 81. She's probably right. But I prefer to remain optimistic about the future of Allenby street! Corner of Allenby and Bialik st. Posted by Olga Levina. October 23, 2010 at 3:49 PM. Shmuel-Davi...
