Christa's Kitchen: September 2009
http://christaskitchen.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
The Happily Ever After Home. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. 8211;verb (used with object). To experience with joy; take pleasure in. I am noticing that I use the word enjoy a lot (especially after I share a recipe.) Having a degree in English, I like to know the exact definition of words, so here it is. Eating is something that we have to do. (It keeps us alive.) Why should something so essential be so boring? So, stop by sometime, and we'll see what I can throw together. Christa's Kitchen: March 2010
http://christaskitchen.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
The Happily Ever After Home. Monday, March 22, 2010. The best recipe that I found was to cook the ribs for 7-8 hours in the slow cooker with some spices, so that's what I did. I put the thawed ribs into the slow cooker with a couple of cups of water. Then I added BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, parsley, onion powder, and garlic powder. I let them cook on low for the 7-8 hours, while flipping them every hour or so. The end result was a tender meat that "had a great flavor" as my husband said.

Christa's Kitchen: Chicken Pasta
http://christaskitchen.blogspot.com/2011/01/chicken-pasta.html
The Happily Ever After Home. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. A few days ago, my aunt shared a recipe with me, and I wanted to try it. It turned out great, so here is my version of the chicken pasta. It's incredibly easy, and you can even cook it in the slow cooker! January 11, 2011 at 1:31 PM. Ive done something similar but I used rotini and tossed the chicken with some garlic powder and threw in a bag of steamed veges (broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots). It also turned out really good. Well, it shouldn't...

Christa's Kitchen: January 2011
http://christaskitchen.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
The Happily Ever After Home. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. While living with a friend from college, I first had this meal. As she told me what was in it and how to eat it, I thought she was crazy. Wait, you dip what in it? However, to my surprise, the meal was delicious, and a couple of years later I found myself wanting to have it again. So, I called her up and got the recipe. If you want something different to try, yet delicious, try making this beef skillet meal. You Know You are a Foodie When. Well, I...

Around the House: August 2010
http://stufffromaroundthehouse.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The Happily Ever After Home. Saturday, August 7, 2010. This week I love empty boxes. Yes, as a child an empty box brought hours upon hours of entertainment. They were nests, covered wagons, space ships, cars, and many other things, but even as an adult I can enjoy an empty box. Mostly, this is because right now, and empty box signifies progress. Yep, after moving almost two weeks ago (has it been that long already? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Picture Window template. Template images by GelatoPlus.

The Happily Ever After Home. Friday, June 11, 2010. A Story about a Man and a Wall. Can you imagine what this must have been like for Nehemiah? You can read in chapter six of Nehemiah what they tried to do, and how Nehemiah would not fall for their traps, but finally, in verse nine, Nehemiah says, "For [the opposition] wanted to freighten us, thinking, 'Their hands will drop from their work, and it will not be done.'". The story doesn't stop with Nehemiah crying out to God. In chapter 12 of the same ...
