Sunday, April 8, 2012. What a week we have had! And he was doing great! Finally, some good news! By Monday morning, he was on a cannula again! On Tuesday morning, our nurse Stephanie surprised me with Jeremy being off the cannula. She said he had pulled it off his nose so she decided to see how he would respond to completely breathing on his own (he still had heart monitors on him so they would know if he was having a hard time breathing). Saturday, March 31, 2012. The past 6 weeks. The most common question in the NICU is, "when can my baby go home? It seems like such a simple question but the answer is so very complicated. As a general rule, the doctors always say plan for around your due date. Great, that gave us 10 weeks in this lovely place. Although about 80% of babies go home before their due date. 21812 the first time I got to hold Jeremy. They said we should plan on being here for 10 weeks, we were thinking 5, maybe 6 at the most.

Friday, March 30, 2012. February 12 seems like a life time ago. I was exactly 30 weeks pregnant. My doctors had told me a week earlier I was becoming pre eclampsic and I wasn't going to make it to 40 weeks. No big deal I thought, Wayne is leaving for Japan at the beginning of June so the more time we get to spend as a family the better. In a few weeks? After my water breaks?
