The Little Gil Family. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. We were recently able to make some home improvements with the help from my mom. She always said if she could, she would "do this and that" to her childrens homes. So, when my sister and I recieved out inheritance, we decided what better way to honor my mom's wishes than to do just that! Chris and I were able to put new carpet upstairs, install hardwood downstairs, get new windows and FINALLY a new front door! The front of our house. March 10, 2009 at 4:07 PM.

It's a Peanut Shell sling and can hold babies up to 35 lbs. Ashton loves it too! "we need to keep the door shut to keep the snakes out" and Maddie all weekend kept saying the snakes are coming. the snakes are coming! But she kept the door shut! Maddie on the other hand LOVES it. She likes to walk around and crunch in it. This year is going to be so much more fun with her. actually taking her out in the snow. sledding and playing. Wednesday, June 23, 2010. 2nd Birthday, Cali Trip, grad parties, and big girl beds! Wow as I'm sitting down to write this I think that a lot has happened in the last month. :). Starting with Maddies 2nd birthday bash! All in all it was a blast. It was a very busy trip.with little to no down time and the 16 hour drive was really not fun with a 2 year old. Maddie in her Mrs. Potato head glasses and pretty jewelry. Maddie and Hunter (Jeremy friend from High Schools son). The princess at her birthday party.

Monday, May 10, 2010. Hike to the hot springs. Gorgeous! This weekend we went out to a cabin on the McKenzie river. It was a blast. Well, except for Friday night when Maddie was throwing up every half hour from 11:30 pm to 7am. That meant no sleep for either of us. :) Happy Mom's day. I earned a badge i'm sure of it! Anyhow, she was totally fine the rest of the weekend. Angela and her son Cameron joined us for some fun in the sun too! It was only my second though). Thanks for a great weekend. :).

Friday, July 9, 2010. I'm so happy to report that summer is FINALLY here. With several days in a row well into the 80's and 90's it's official. I heard a funny quote the other day. Monday, November 30, 2009. Maddie was fascinated with the stone "babies". I know I have been the world's worst blogger. Life has been a little crazy the last few months. Not a good excuse though. But I managed to take some pics on our trip to northern california. Can we say Joe's daughter? Anyways, we are gearing up for Christmas. The first one at home in 2 years! My mom and 3 out of my 4 siblings are coming as well. It's going to be a blast. Time to get the tree and all the lights up. :).

Lots of snow and vastly more cold weather than the last two. It made for a nice cozy Christmas but, by the new year, we were a bit taken with cabin fever. Thank goodness we "surprised" ourselves with a trip to Portugal. The Algarve region, on the south coast, semi-arid, sunny, warm (er than here), beaches and a heated pool! How that would change.
