Notes From The Shire. Tagged and logged (in Evans and on website) some recent keeper sows. Added some others to my For Sale page. I have several reserved, now to get people to actually pick them up! The winter is so tough on pig sales! Meanwhile a young MM sow popped out a MM clone baby compliments of her dad who didn't like being separated from his family and climbed back in (apparently chimney-climbing the water bottle and food dish) for 2.5 seconds- just long enough to nail his offspring. Ugh.

That singleton horse born to Ruby turns out is a girl. I have to check the four from the latest two litters. I need a good boar! Notes From The Shire. Bought a new "park" bench for the back porch/pad. $40 at Big Lots I thought was a good price. Last year's got squished by a tree along with the grill. Gotta save up for the grill. Been using the G Foreman we got as a gift. Dog on my lap/arm makes typing difficult. 4/19/10 09:34 pm (UTC). This post is having a serious lack of PUPPY PICTURES damnit. Notes From The Shire. Reposted from CavySociety.com. May 5, 2010 by Shelley. My prettiest Texel sow has died. She had babies a week ago. It was her first litter and she and the babies seemed to be doing great. Then yesterday I noticed she seemed listless. I fed her some formula with C and calcium and she seemed to rally a bit, but she wouldn't eat or drink. By the second feeding she couldn't stand and I removed the three babies and let her be.
