The first time your child achieves a milestone is undoubtedly special but when you are made to wait and wonder whether your child will ever achieve the usual milestones; when they eventually do, the moment is truly magical. Of course, I understood that it wasn't their fault and I didn't wish their babies any harm but it can be a very lonely experience having a child with disablilities.
